Introducing Mr. Tunç Tiryaki – a globally-recognised figure in the realm of facial plastic surgery, a pioneer of regenerative medicine and the visionary behind the London Regenerative Institute (LRI) at Corinthia London.
We are delighted to offer our guests and clients an innovative array of services, providing longevity and bespoke regenerative solutions to reverse the effects of ageing and enhance the health span.
As a true pioneer, Mr. Tiryaki stands amongst some of the first surgeons worldwide to harness the potential of fat-derived stem cells in mini facelift procedures. He continues to push boundaries in regenerative medicine. In a recent interview with Mr. Tiryaki, we delved into the concept of longevity and the LRI’s revolutionary offerings…
Tell us about the London Regenerative Institute.
The London Regenerative Institute provides a host of the most cutting-edge, science-backed longevity and regenerative treatments to reverse internal and external ageing through personalised treatment plans and protocols. The London Regenerative Institute brings together a global team of scientists, doctors, biotechnology and genetic engineers, revered for their research and innovation into ageing. The team works collaboratively to progress the field of longevity and decelerate the ageing process.
There is a lot of buzz around the subject of longevity - can you explain what it means?
Humans are living longer than ever before. Today in the USA, you can expect to live to around the age of 76. However, your health span, or the period of life lived without disease, is only about 64 years, leaving around 12 years of compromised health. Longevity refers to living a long and healthy life with a lower risk of chronic disease and a higher quality of life in older age.
Regenerative medicine plays an important role in the development and application of new treatments to recover damaged tissues and organs, restoring their functions which have been compromised due to ageing or disease.
The goal is to live all of the years in good health and we are unlocking the secrets to longevity to ensure this is achievable.
What treatments are available at the London Regenerative Institute?
The gold standard protocol at the LRI starts with longevity screening. It comprises the most advanced and accurate epigenetic test which firstly identifies the biological age (the age of the cells and physical systems) compared to the chronological age (years passed since birth) to understand how the body is ageing and at what pace. If the individual is ageing slower, they will likely be healthier, heal faster and look and feel younger. Factors which influence ageing include genetics, lifestyle, nutrition and disease or illness.
AI skin analysis and a 3D body analysis are also conducted to get a full picture of internal and external ageing.
Following the longevity screening, a personalised treatment pathway is tailored around the specific needs of each individual to optimise health and slow the pace of ageing. These interventions include diet, personalised nutrition, exercise and treatment programmes.
There is an abundance of treatments available including exosome therapies, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hypoxic training, anti-wrinkle injections, micro-needling, skin boosters, IV drips, radio frequency treatments for hair, skin and scar rejuvenation and personalised nutrition and HRT.
What is on the horizon for regenerative medicine?
It’s an exciting time for regenerative medicine as we progress research and understand the complexities of ageing. One of the most promising developments in regenerative medicine which shows huge potential in addressing both intrinsic and extrinsic ageing is the potential of exosomes.
Exosomes are tiny bubbles released from stem cells which act as building blocks and messengers. They harness the power to repair and rejuvenate tissue as well to reduce inflammation, one of the hallmarks of ageing. Exosomes contain almost three times the amount of growth factors as adult stem cells.
We are hugely excited to be offering exosome-based therapies in our aesthetics at the LRI.
Over the past five years, the scientific board of the LRI has been developing a new biotechnology skincare range called Morphiya, which harnesses the healing capabilities of exosomes. The product helps generate collagen and improve skin quality. In fact, clinical studies have shown that exosomes reduce wrinkles and increase skin elasticity much more effectively than retinol, which is the current leading, evidence-based product for anti-ageing.
Morphiya not only regenerates the skin but also promotes wound healing and hair regrowth. The range is not due to launch until October 2023 but we are delighted to be offering this product to the LRI guests now.
The launch of Morphiya signifies an exciting new evolution of sophisticated skincare but future capabilities for exosomes include the development of new vaccines, cancer diagnosis and treatment, stroke protection, tissue regeneration and much more!
